Claudio Cherubino, Sandra Macrina e Savina Moniaci responsabili, rispettivamente, dell'implementazione delle abilità tecniche, linguistiche e del coordinamento dello Staff Erasmus dell'ITT Malafarina di Soverato, , hanno frequentato, dal 16 al 20 gennaio 2023, un corso funzionale alla realizzazione dei prodotti di disseminazione del Programma Erasmus+. Il corso di Digital Storytelling si è svolto a Guadaloupe, nel paradisiaco arcipelago delle Antille francesi dei Caraibi ed è stato organizzato da professionisti del settore come Jimmy Kancel, Jude Gustave e Jonathan Drumeaux.
DIGITAL STORYTELLING 5 DAYS – COURSE DESCRIPTION
Introduction
This course is aimed at teachers and school staff from pre-school level to primary, secondary, vocational, adult and special needs education, staff of non-government organizations, government and policy makers and company staff as well as students and all those who want to improve their digital competences and learn how they can use digital storytelling to brush up their teaching skills and engage lerners in project based learning through digital storyteelig. The course will focus on theoretical background and practical use of digital storytelling and building naratives as well as the opportunities for creating teaching and learning resources through photo stories and if-than adventure stories.
Methodology
Methodology is based on theoretical lessons and presentations of examples of good practice as well as practical workshops, discussions and experience comparissons. Participants will have the opportunity to get to know the theoretical background as well as go through a series of practical exercises in order to develop skills for practical use of digital storytelling software. A strong focus will be on a systematic curation of content and form through building narratives.
Objectives

•​Understanding of storytelling and narative building as teaching and learning style.
•​Developing communication, collaboration, presentation, problem solving, negotiation, critical and creative thinking skills.
•​Enhancing understanding of the potential storytelling and narative building have in education and opportunities they provide.
•​Enhancing professional skills through mastering tools for virtual communication and collaboration.
•​Providing and exercising creative ideas and practical resources for successful implementation of digital storytelling in education.
•​Improving English fluency (official language of the course).
•​Promoting intercultural awareness.
•​Sharing experiences of digital storytelling from different organizations in order to help each of us to be more effective in our work.
•​Developing the online collaboration platform for preparation, dissemination and networking in order to develop future partnerships and projects.
•​Strengthening the European collaboration among people using digital storytelling, in education in different contexts.
•​Providing insights into different education systems.
